    	abstract = {Film is a medium that has the power to transfer messages and values to a wide audience. The audience of the film is diverse and thanks to the diversity of its audience, film becomes a unique mass communication medium because it can create different perceptions among its viewers. The author chose the film The Childe as the object of research because the depiction of the psychopath character in the film The Childe is different from other films or series about psychopaths. This film depicts a psychopath as a figure who has empathy, looks neat with a suit and formal hairstyle. In addition, Kim Seon-Ho, one of the South Korean actors who is known for often playing the protagonist in films so that he is nicknamed \"good boy\" by his fans (Seonhohada), actually chooses to be a character who has a psychopathic character in the film The Childe. This is interesting, considering that Seonhohada's perception of psychopaths is assumed to have shifted from the original psychopath being seen as a cruel figure to a charming figure who has empathy. This study aims to determine the perception of Seonhohada in Indonesia regarding the psychopathic character of Kim Seon-Ho in the film The Childe. In this study, the author used a qualitative research method. The author uses data collection techniques including observation, interviews via the Zoom application and documentation. The results of the study showed that several informants expressed their perceptions that the psychopathic character in the film The Childe played by Kim Seon-Ho is a psychopathic figure who has a good, positive side and also looks neat. The informants who have been interviewed each have their own rules of life. One of them is an informant who has a rule of life that his safety and security play a very important role so that he thinks that psychopaths do not have empathy, unlike in the film The Childe.ABSTRAKFilm adalah medium yang memiliki kekuatan transfer pesan dan nilai kepada khalayak yang luas. Audiens film beragam dan berkat keberagaman audiensnya ini membuat film menjadi media komunikasi massa yang unik karena dapat menimbulkan persepsi yang berbeda diantara penontonnya. Penulis memilih film The Childe sebagai objek penelitian karena penggambaran tokoh psikopat dalam film The Childe berbeda dengan film atau series tentang psikopat yang lain. Film ini menggambarkan psikopat sebagai sosok yang memiliki rasa empati, berpenampilan rapi dengan jas dan gaya rambut yang formal. Selain itu, Kim Seon-Ho, salah satu aktor Korea Selatan yang dikenal sering memerankan tokoh protagonis dalam film sehingga diberi julukan “anak baik” oleh penggemarnya (Seonhohada), justru memilih menjadi tokoh yang memiliki karakter psikopat dalam film The Childe. Hal ini menarik, mengingat persepsi Seonhohada terkait psikopat diasumsikan bergeser dari yang semula psikopat dilihat sebagai sosok yang kejam menjadi sosok yang charming dan memiliki rasa empati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi Seonhohada di Indonesia terkait karakter psikopat Kim Seon-Ho pada film The Childe. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Penulis menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yang meliputi observasi, wawancara melalui aplikasi Zoom dan dokumentasi.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, beberapa informan mengungkapkan persepsinya bahwa karakter psikopat pada film The Childe yang diperankan oleh Kim Seon-Ho sebagai sosok psikopat yang memiliki sisi baik, positif dan juga berpenampilan rapi. Informan yang telah diwawancarai, masing- masing memiliki aturan hidup tersendiri. Salah satunya terdapat informan yang memiliki aturan hidup bahwa keselamatan dan keamanan dirinya berperan sangat penting sehingga ia beranggapan bahwa psikopat tidak mempunyai rasa empati, tidak seperti pada film The Childe.},
