abstract = {The industrial internship program is a learning strategy aimed at bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge acquired in lectures and practical experience in the real workplace. This activity aims to enhance the competencies of Animal Science students at Muhammadiyah University of Sidenreng Rappang through direct practice in broiler chicken management at Anjas Farm Maros. The internship was conducted over four months (February–June 2026) using a participatory method, where students were directly involved in the entire broiler chicken rearing cycle, from cage preparation, chick-in, brooding period, finisher period, to harvesting. Students successfully learned and practiced various technical aspects of livestock farming including biosecurity, temperature and ventilation control, feed and vitamin administration, vaccination, body weight monitoring, and handling problems such as hardened litter and high humidity. This internship program effectively improves students' understanding and skills in broiler chicken management and prepares them for the workforce in the poultry sector ABSTRAKProgram magang industri merupakan salah satu strategi pembelajaran yang bertujuan untuk menjembatani kesenjangan antara teori yang diperoleh di perkuliahan dengan praktik di dunia kerja nyata. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa Program Studi Peternakan Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidenreng Rappang melalui praktik langsung manajemen pemeliharaan ayam broiler di Anjas Farm Maros. Kegiatan magang dilaksanakan selama empat bulan (Februari–Juni 2026) dengan metode partisipatif, di mana mahasiswa terlibat langsung dalam seluruh siklus pemeliharaan ayam broiler mulai dari persiapan kandang, chick-in, masa brooding, masa finisher, hingga panen. Mahasiswa berhasil mempelajari dan mempraktikkan berbagai aspek teknis peternakan meliputi biosekuriti, pengaturan suhu dan ventilasi, pemberian pakan dan vitamin, vaksinasi, monitoring berat badan, serta penanganan kendala seperti litter mengeras dan kelembapan tinggi. Program magang ini efektif meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam manajemen peternakan ayam broiler serta mempersiapkan mereka menghadapi dunia kerja di sektor peternakan unggas.},
