abstract = {English language skills are important in both academic and non-academic contexts, and one way to improve them is through training programs. This study aims to describe the results and impact of GLLSO training, a competitive competition at the Annuqayah Lubangsa Putri English Club, on the development of participants' English language skills. The study used a qualitative case study design with observational data, interviews, and documents, involving eight participants. Analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which included data condensation, data presentation, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The results showed that GLLSO improved participants' English skills, especially speaking skills, which experienced the most significant development. Improvements also occurred in listening, reading, and writing skills, accompanied by increased learning motivation. Academically, this study enriches the literature on community-based learning outside the classroom in the context of Islamic boarding schools. Practically, these findings can serve as a reference for educational institutions in designing effective and sustainable language training programs.ABSTRAKKemampuan bahasa Inggris penting dalam konteks akademik maupun non-akademik, dan salah satu upaya peningkatannya dapat dilakukan melalui program pelatihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan hasil dan dampak pelatihan GLLSO, sebuah lomba kompetitif di English Club Annuqayah Lubangsa Putri, terhadap pengembangan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris peserta. Penelitian menggunakan desain kualitatif studi kasus dengan data observasi, wawancara, dan dokumen, melibatkan delapan partisipan. Analisis dilakukan melalui model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña yang mencakup kondensasi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan dan verifikasi kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa GLLSO meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris peserta, terutama keterampilan berbicara yang mengalami perkembangan paling signifikan. Peningkatan juga terjadi pada keterampilan mendengarkan, membaca, dan menulis, disertai kenaikan motivasi belajar. Secara akademik, penelitian ini memperkaya literatur tentang pembelajaran berbasis komunitas di luar kelas dalam konteks pesantren. Secara praktis, temuan ini dapat menjadi rujukan bagi lembaga pendidikan dalam merancang program pelatihan bahasa yang efektif dan berkelanjutan.},
