Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
- If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
Copyright Notice
Authors who publish with COGNITIA: Interdisciplinary Journal of Mind, Education, and Science retain the copyright to their work. By submitting and publishing their manuscripts, authors grant the journal the right of first publication and the right to distribute the published work as part of the journal.
Licensing and User Rights
All articles published in COGNITIA are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY). This license permits others to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, and to adapt the work for any lawful purpose, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source.
The CC BY license is intended to facilitate the widest possible dissemination of research while ensuring that authors receive proper acknowledgment for their work.
Third-Party Material
If an article contains material (such as figures, tables, images, or extended quotations) for which the copyright is held by a third party, authors are responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions prior to publication. Such material must be clearly identified and properly credited in the manuscript.

Archiving and Reuse
Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their published work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or personal websites), provided that the original publication in COGNITIA is properly cited.
