abstract = {Employee engagement has become one of the issues in human resource management studies, because it provides many benefits to the company. Not only does it make employees have high loyalty, employee engagement also makes employees contribute more to the company through improved performance. The main purpose of this study is to determine how the level of employee engagement of employee performance occurs, as well as to determine the effect of employee engagement on employee performance at BPR Hasamitra Palopo City. This study uses quantitative and qualitative data sourced from primary data and secondary data with descriptive analysis methods, validity and reliability tests and simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the employee engagement variable (X) had an effect on employee performance (Y) at BPR Hasamitra Palopo City. The coefficient of determination (R²) obtained is 0.439, which implies that the effect of the independent variable (employee engagement) on the dependent variable (performance) is 43.9% while the remaining 56.1% is influenced by other variables not examined.ABSTRAKEmployee engagement telah menjadi salah satu isu dalam kajian manajemen sumber daya manusia, karena memberikan banyak manfaat bagi perusahaan. Tidak hanya membuat karyawan memiliki loyalitas yang tinggi, employee engagement juga membuat karyawan memberikan kontribusi lebih bagi perusahaan melalui peningkatan kinerja. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana tingkat employee engagement dari kinerja karyawan yang terjadi, serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh employee engagement terhadap kinerja karyawan pada BPR Hasamitra Kota Palopo. Penelitian ini menggunakan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif yang bersumber dari data primer dan data sekunder dengan metode analisis deskriptif, uji validitas dan reabilitas serta analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel employee engagement (X) berpengaruh terhadap kinerja (Y) karyawan pada BPR Hasamitra Kota Palopo. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) yang diperoleh sebesar 0,439, yang mengandung pengertian bahwa pengaruh variabel bebas (employee engagement) terhadap variabel terikat (kinerja) adalah sebesar 43,9% sedangkan sisanya 56,1% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti.},
