Abstract

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) has brought significant changes to the global education system. ICT is no longer merely a supporting tool in the learning process; it has transformed into a core component that reshapes mindsets, strategies, and pedagogical approaches across various levels of education. This study aims to conceptually analyze the scope of ICT, map the historical development of its utilization in the educational world, and explore current innovations in ICT-based learning media. Innovations in ICT-based learning media continue to evolve, including e-learning, interactive simulations, augmented reality, and the use of artificial intelligence in personalized learning. These advancements offer positive implications for the effectiveness, flexibility, and accessibility of learning, while also demanding readiness from teachers, students, and educational institutions in terms of digital literacy and pedagogical transformation. The integration of ICT in education requires not only technical understanding but also pedagogical and strategic awareness. The wise and purposeful use of technology can support the creation of an innovative, adaptive, and human-centered learning ecosystem in the digital era.
